Traditional postpartum practices for modern mothers

At Lunar Roots, we provide postpartum doula and coaching services rooted in traditional practices to new mothers and parents desiring to transition into this new stage of life mindfully and wholly. We believe every mother deserves mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual postpartum support - because birth is not the finish line.

“Lisa’s experience in raising 3 children combined with her knowledge of holistic healing and Chinese yuezi practice make her a natural fit at providing postpartum support.

Postpartum can be a very vulnerable time, especially for first time parents. For me, I liked the idea of having support, but also felt like I needed to be really selective about who would be able to truly support me. Lisa's visit nurtured me both physically and emotionally, and I hope many others can benefit from her support.”

Nice to meet you. I'm Lisa - Coach, Doula, and Mom

My transition into motherhood was deeply shaped by my mom’s support and the traditional Chinese postpartum practice of confinement. Inspired by my three postpartum experiences, Lunar Roots blends traditional wisdom with modern care to nurture the whole mother—so you can feel empowered at every stage of motherhood.

Traditional cultures have always supported and guided birthing people. It is time we bring back those practices so mothers can feel fully supported and given the time and space to evolve into this next version of themselves.
